Brand Identity - NightBlock
In 2014 David co-founded NightBlock, an online literary journal, with Erin Mullikin. For 4 years and 8 issues, along with being a co-editor-in-chief, he was the sole designer responsible for issue layout, graphic design, and social media. Below is a sample of that work including issue covers, Facebook banners, content previews, and more.
At AWP in 2014, we distributed hundreds of bookmarks (left) promoting our first issue. Each bookmark featured an excerpt from our contributors.
For each issue, our Facebook and Twitter accounts would change cover and profile images. Below is a sample of a few of those cover images.
Beginning around issue 4, we began posting excerpts (below) in order to better advertise and engage with our followers. We also posted graphics to announce when we were reading for a new issue and when a new issue was imminent.
